DermaShopey is a health-tech startup based in Ahmedabad, India, building AI-assisted tools that make dermatology support more accessible — without ever overstepping what AI should claim to know.
India has roughly one dermatologist for every 100,000+ people outside major cities, and most skin concerns start with the same uncertainty: is this worth a doctor's visit, or will it settle on its own? We built DermaShopey to answer that first question honestly, in plain language, before connecting you with a real dermatologist when it actually matters.

We design every screen with a simple rule: AI assists, it never diagnoses. Every result names its confidence and what it cannot determine.

English, Hindi, and Gujarati support, and models evaluated across a range of Indian skin tones — not an afterthought bolted onto a global product.
Privacy by default
Nothing optional is switched on for you. Your health images stay under your control, and every use of your data is opt-in.
Transparent pricing
The app is free, forever. You only ever pay a dermatologist directly for their time — never for an AI opinion dressed up as a diagnosis.
Our story
DermaShopey started from a simple observation: most people don't know whether a skin change is worth worrying about, and searching online rarely helps — it either underplays real risks or spirals into worst-case self-diagnosis. We wanted something in between: an honest first read, in your own language, that's upfront about what it can and can't tell you.
We work with a dermatology review board to keep the AI's language calibrated — never confident when it shouldn't be, never vague when a clear answer is possible. Every design decision, from consent screens to data retention, starts with the same question: would we trust this with our own family's skin health data?
